About me

I don’t love talking about myself much, but I’ll give it a go. I like ’80s horror, particularly B movies. I like a good burger… hell, I like a bad burger. I’m overly opinionated about hot dogs (charred, mustard only please). Coffee has become a great friend to me. I was a tea guy, but I feel coffee understands my needs. There’s other stuff in my life but no one wants to read my memoirs here.

Personal Stuff

Strengths

I am knowledgeable on many topics, some of which are actually useful and or interesting!

I have recently gained the ability to eat olives without shouting “why do you make me eat these… why would anyone eat these?!”

Able to defeat Bionic Commando for the NES with no cheat codes.

Able to defeat Batman for the NES with several cheat codes (dude, that game is hard).

I can make five different forms of Devilled Egg. They all taste roughly the same, however.

Weaknesses

Cap’n Crunch. It’s really bad for me but I just love it so much.

Three werewolves. Two I can probably take, but three? I’d just run.

Strong radiation.

Likes

Pretty much anything accompanied by peanut butter.

Films with the word “dead” in the title: Evil Dead, Dawn of the Dead, etc.

LoFi Halloween beats (for study and relaxation) on YouTube. I’ve been enjoying these since October of last year.

Skeletor.

Dislikes

The square centimeter on my back where when it itches I can’t scratch it without the assistance of a tool.

The word “veggies”. I dunno, it just pisses me off for some reason. Also “handy dandy” ugh.

  • Built and maintain several WordPress sites, as well as provide hosting and security services.
  • Provided consultations on information design, workflow and project management.
  • Did a bit of penetration testing, security auditing and sweep and clear malware removal.

Technomic Inc. | Winsight

Web Developer 

2011 – 2018

Technomic is a renowned and trusted provider of data and analytics for restaurants and the foodservice and beverage industry as a whole. They were purchased by Winsight, where I worked for another year or so.

  • Maintained the proprietary PHP main site and built several micro-sites to extend it.
  • Built and maintained their Drupal based intranet.
  • Maintained and managed their WordPress based blog.
  • Developed several small web applications and forms for researchers.
  • Other responsibilities included: Mass email generation and deployment, editing and posting video on their YouTube channel, ad management and placement.

2008 – 2011

  • Designed and created multiple sites for small and medium sized businesses.
  • Consulted on web service integration, streamlining operations with free software, and mobile software solutions.
  • Sub-contracted with other design companies, providing code fixes, security assessment and updates. Created logos, prototypes, presentations, etc. for start-ups seeking investors.

I started here when it was still Kinko’s. It was a good job.

  • Designed and consulted on the creation of many office documents, logos, and presentations for a multitude of clients, using an array of industry standard software.
  • Created oversize banners, cut vinyl graphics, and other large format signs.
  • Maintained printer and file servers for multiple production machines, as well as servers and hardware routers for customer web access.
  • Responsible for work-flow management, onsite and outsourced.
